Donald J. Green age 72 of Steger, IL, passed away December 21, 2009. Beloved husband of Carol Green nee Pollack. Loving father of Regina (David) Soto, Sherry (Timothy) Doyle, Lisa Green, Michael (Jeanette) Fitzsimmons, Susan Green, Timothy Fitzsimmons, Kathryn (Keith) Reynolds, Michael (Melissa) Green, and the late Donald Tuffy Green. Cherished grandfather of fifteen grandchildren. Visitation Sunday December 27th from 2:00 " 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Homes " Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger). Donald retired from Chicago Finished Metals with 40 years of service, with 26 years of perfect attendance, and he was the first recipient of the Ken Jahn Award of Excellence.
