Donna J. Fritzsche

Donna Fritzsche, nee Shepherd, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019. She was seventy-six. Donna was born March 28, 1943, and was a life-long resident of the Chicago-area, settling in South Holland with her husband Jim, who preceded her in death. She was an accomplished secretary, retiring from The Mitchell Corporation, and was a member of Village Church in Dyer, Indiana. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, and often met with her sisters and friends for “coffee” – a chance to visit with each other and catch up. She regularly spent time with her daughter in Alamosa, Colorado, and had a wide circle of friends there as well. She especially enjoyed taking day-trips to new places, and spending time in locally owned shops and galleries. She is survived by two children, Kristine (John) Taylor of Alamosa, Colorado, and James (Theresa) of Lansing; three grandchildren, Katharine Reed Taylor, Amanda Fritzsche and Jacob Fritzsche; sisters Linda (Brand) Jasik and Debbie (Duane) George; three nephews, and many friends.
