Doris Mae Peterson

Doris Mae Peterson, nee Cornwell, age 80, of Thornton, IL, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020.  Beloved wife of the late Thomas W. Peterson.  Loving mother of Pamela (Rick) Rago and Cynthia (Paul) Novak. Proud grandmother of Alissa Rago, Emily (Cory) Weber, David (Cara) Novak and Megan Novak; great-grandmother of Maya, Kylie, Fynlee, Everly, and Hadley. Dearest sister of Thomas (Lois) Cornwell, Richard (Judith) Cornwell, late James (Norinne) Cornwell, late Lois (Bill) Stuertz, late Robert Cornwell, and the late Donald (Sue) Cornwell.  Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Also preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Grace Cornwell.

Visitation Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. A visitation will also be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at First Reformed Church (15924 South Park Ave. South Holland, IL) with Rev.
