Dorothy A. Broertjes, nee Hoekstra, age 84, passed away, Wednesday, September 19, 2018.  Beloved wife of Willis Broertjes.  Loving mother of Larry (Deb) Broertjes, Barbara (Richard) Uittenbogaard, and Joyce (Bradley) Dykstra.  Devoted grandmother of Melissa (Brad) VanderWoude, Jason (Stefanie) Broertjes, Michael (Shawna) Hoekstra, Jason (Erin) Hoekstra, Greg Hoekstra, Mark (Angela) Uittenbogaard, Kent (Danita) Uittenbogaard, Ryan Dykstra, Scott (Kristin) Dykstra, Joel (Carrie) Dykstra, and Emily (Fiance Sean Parpart) Dykstra and 12 great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of Caryl (late Stanley) DeBoer and Ted (Donna) Hoekstra. Dear sister-in-law of Eloise (late Harry) Vander Vliet, Harold Broertjes, Dorothy (late Kenneth) Eriks, John (Ruth) Broertjes, and the late Ronald (late Sharon) Broertjes.

Visitation Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL.  Funeral service Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church, 16556 Cottage Grove Ave., South Holland, IL, with services conducted by Rev. Dr. Joel Nederhood.  Interment Skyline Memorial Park - Monee, IL.  Memorial contributions may be given to Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church or Lansing Christian School.
