Mrs. Dorothy Fleming, of Crete, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on September 6, 2016 from complications of Parkinson’s disease.
Dorothy was born on June 3, 1931 in Shawnee, Kansas to Flauda May McEndree and David T. Brown. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Kenneth and James. Also, waiting for her are her many pets.
During her life Dorothy lived in Kansas City, Memphis, Harvey, Matteson and finally moving to Crete in 2004. Dorothy worked for Walgreens for 13+years and was a volunteer at the South Suburban Humane Society.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Herbert L. Fleming of Crete, IL.
Also surviving her are her four daughters and their families: Debbie and Mark Henderson of Rockwall, TX, Becky Slagle and Denny Hughes of Terrell, TX, Karen and Chris Doig of Concord, CA and Sharon and Michael Doyle of Crete, IL.
Surviving grandchildren are Josh Duncan and Jamie Wilson-Duncan of Terrell, TX, Jason Hataway of Plano, TX, Lauren Hataway of Dallas, TX, Rachel Doyle of Crete, IL and Zachary and Jackson Doig of Concord, CA. Surviving great-grandchild is Kason Duncan of Terrell, TX.

Visitation will take place on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 4-7pm at Smits Funeral Home, Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Road, Steger, IL. A private memorial service for family will follow.
