Dorothy M Gillespie

Dorothy M. Schultz Gillespie, age 93, of Thornton, IL passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010. Dorothy is survived by one son: Arnold (Darylle) Schultz; three grandsons: Paul (Alicia) Schultz, Timothy Schultz, and James (Erika) Schultz; three great grandchildren: Daniele, Kirsten, and Meaghen; and one sister: Loretta Manns. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Orval Schultz and Burns Gillespie, and four brothers and three sisters: Walter Diekelman, Amanda Rich, Martha Zander, William Diekelman, Ruth Sons, Paul Diekelman, and Irvin Diekelman. Dorothy had worked as a sales clerk for Klines Department Store in Chicago Heights and played the church organ at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Thornton, IL for over 50 years. Visitation Friday, November 5, 2010 from 2:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6/159th St.) South Holland. Funeral service Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 510 Chicago Rd., Thornton, IL, with services conducted by Rev. Harold Wahl.
