Dorothy E. Pentel, nee Franson, age 99, of Dyer, IN, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Loving wife of the late Stanley D. Pentel. Dearest aunt and great-aunt of Mark (Monica) Crow, Nanci (Steve) Nydam, Stephani Nydam, Austin (Abby) Nydam, Kathleen (Brad) Henning, Ashlee Callard, Jameson Brooks, Jexson Klein, and many other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Carl and Caroline Franson. Dorothy was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Visitation Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kyle Johnson officiating, at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN. Interment Assumption Cemetery - Glenwood, IL.
