Dorothy P. Swart nee Couwenhoven, age 91, of Lansing, IL, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Albert J. "Swarty" Swart. Devoted mother of Wayne (Catherine) Swart, Randall (Janice) Swart and the late Garry (Debra) Swart. Proud grandmother of 7; great-grandmother of 10. Dearest sister of Henrietta (late Case) Ippel, Goldie (late Charles) Garmany, Lorretta (Pete) Zandstra, the late Eleanore (Joe) Piunti, and the late Richard (late Nellie) Couwenhoven. Visitation Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00p.m. at First Reformed Church ( 15924 South Park Ave. South Holland, IL 60473) with Rev. Matt Waterstone officiating. Private interment Oak Ridge Cemetery - Lansing, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Calvin Christian School or First Reformed Church.
