Dr. Omar O. Juveland

Dr. Omar O. Juveland, age 90, of South Holland, IL passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016. Beloved husband of Ruth, nee Nelson. Loving father of David (Karen) Juveland, Steven (Kim Marie) Juveland, Douglas (Sherri) Juveland, and Kim (Bob) White. Beloved grandfather of the late Alex, Orion, Kelly, Katelyn, Sam, Sage, Jake, Erik, Lars, and Alexis. Dear brother of Sylvia (late John Dale) Nash, late Allan (Christine) Juveland, and the late Gilma (late Dale) Henthorne. Mr. Juveland was a U.S. Navy W.W. II Veteran. Omar holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Chicago. He was a retired chemist from Standard /Amoco Oil Co. and held 26 U.S Patents. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 651 East 166th St. South Holland, IL 60473.
