Earl Kenneth Moore, age 84, of Chicago formerly of Dolton, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Beloved husband of Joan Moore, nee Lamb. Devoted father of Donna (Ray) Nelson, Earl (Sue) Moore, Steven (Joan) Moore, Carol (Gary) Henderson, Ray (Robyn) Moore, and Sue (Bob) Sterkowitz. Proud grandfather of Jennifer, Stephen, Brian, Alison, Ryan, Eric, Amy, Lindsay, Abigail, Rachel, Jason, and Madison; great-grandfather of 5. Dearest brother of Geri Mitchell. Preceded in death by his parents Earl and Helen Moore. Lying in state Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Church (880 E. 154th St. South Holland, IL 60473) with Rev. John J. Powers and Deacon Tim Springer officiating. Private Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery - Elwood, IL. Mr. Moore was U.S. Army Veteran, a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Genoa Council #1659 Brother and Long-time member of the St. Jude the Apostle Holy Name Society.
