Edna Marie Alder née Mack, age 71, passed away peacefully at her home on September 16, 2014. She was born to the late William and Edna (née Schmidt) Mack on November 15, 1942 in Steger, IL. She was the dear sister of Barbara (Frank) Opsahl, Leonard (Laurel Li) Mack, William (Penny) Mack and Robert (Helen) Mack. She was the cherished aunt of Christina (Jeff) Hinthorn, William Sterling (Christy) Mack, Angela (Michael) Leonard, and Robert Mack. She was also the great aunt of William Mack, Dylan and Lana Leonard and Christopher and Joshua Hinthorn. Visitation Monday September 22, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. noon at Smits Funeral Home-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, Illinois. Interment at Calvary Cemetery - Steger, Illinois. Edna had retired from Jewel-Osco in Homewood after over 30 years of service. For further information please contact 708-755-6100
