Edward P. Angus

Edward P. Angus, age 80, of Dyer, IN passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022.  Beloved husband of the late Marlene L. Angus, nee Torres.  Loving father of Annette (James) Ludwig, Keith (Jill Contro) Angus, Darin (Susan) Angus, and the late Eric Angus.  Cherished Papa of Jeffery (Caprice) Rodgers and Ashley Rodgers, Alena Ludwig, James Ludwig, Nina, Stefanie, Nicholas, Jack, and Anna Angus; great-papa of Alex and Darcy Rodgers. Dear brother of Helen (late Donald) Cooper. Also Preceded in death by his parents George and Florence Angus.

Mr. Angus was a 40 year route salesman for Hostess Cake.  After retirement, he worked at the McDonald’s in Dyer for 17 years.  Ed was also very involved in the Hegewisch area and served as the groundskeeper for The Hegewisch Little League for many years.

Visitation Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 4:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Ln., Dyer, IN.  Funeral Mass Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 Joliet St, Dyer, IN.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL.
