Edward "Eddie" Ayala

Edward “Eddie” Ayala, age 57, of Dyer, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 after a courageous battle against Cancer.  Loving husband of Christine Mikula Ayala, nee Japkowski.  Devoted father of Emaleth D. Mikula, Jarred E. Ayala, and Jacob M. Ayala.  Dear brother of Victor (Lana) Ayala, Michael Ayala, Thomas (Lori) Ayala, Felix Gutierrez II, late Rosa (Felix) Gutierrez Sr., and the late Lupe (late Joe) Tapia. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents Tomas and Maria Ayala nee Mitre.

Eddie was a car enthusiast, he loved his cars, and belonged to the Regional Car Club of NWI, and the NW Car Enthusiast Club.  In honor of Eddie’s memory feel free to bring your favorite ride.  Eddie was truly loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Memorial visitation Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a vigil service to be held at 6:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Ln. (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN.
