Edward De Boer, age 90, of Crete, IL, formerly of Highland, IN passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Anna DeBoer, nee Kruizenga. Devoted father of Ron (Lois), Ed (Carol), Jim (Debra), and Bill (Barb Prince) DeBoer. Proud grandfather of 11; great-grandfather of 12. Dear brother of the late Andy (Alice) DeBoer, late Elmer (Tini) DeBoer, late Jackie (Don) Dykstra, Tena (Richard) Poortinga, and Betty (late Marvin) Dykstra. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Julia DeBoer, and infant daughter Linda Jean DeBoer. Funeral service Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Community United Reformed Church (8405 Alexander St. Schererville IN 46375) with Rev. James Oord officiating.
