Edward Donald Cepela, age 91, of Matteson, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2021.  Beloved husband of the late Shirley Cepela, nee Sparks.  Loving father of Edward Cepela Jr., the late Ronald (Susan) Cepela, and Michael (Anna) Cepela.  Cherished grandfather of nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.  Preceded in death by his siblings Joseph Cepela, Paul Cepela, Gertrude Zagorski, Mary Clausen, and Ann Matson; also by his parents Paul and Anna Cepela.  Edward was a proud United States Marine Veteran.  He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Friday, March 19, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd.
