Edward Thomas Gyger

Edward Thomas Gyger 86, of Crete, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Cecilia Gyger and the late Alice Gyger. Loving father of Sue (Dave) Shea, Nancy (Michael) Roy and the late Mary Gyger. Cherished grandfather of six; great-grandfather of five. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Yukon and sister Jean Catto. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Edward retired from ComEd as a lineman with over 35 years of service. He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy. Visitation Monday, April 25, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service 11:30 a.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, Illinois. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery - Calumet City, Illinois. Memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project appreciated.
