Edward E. Johnston

Edward Johnston, age 86, of Crete, IL, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Esther Elizabeth Johnston nee Siefert. Loving father of Carolyn Johnston, Edward (Frances) Johnston, Michael (Candice Justice) Johnston, and the late Robert Johnston. Cherished grandfather of Terra (Joe Senese) Morganelli, Robert (Bethany Rogers) Morganelli, Russell Johnston, David Johnston, and Jenna Johnston. Great grandfather of Jordan, Nicolaus, Lia, and Robby Jr. Dear brother of Gene (Candy) Johnston and the late Charles “Chuck” (Charlotte) Johnston. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Edward was a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church. Edward worked 30 years for the US Steel Supply Company as a traffic manager. He was also a former member and  past president of the Calumet Suburban Transportation Association and a member of the Wooden Axels. He was an IHSA official for the South Suburban Officials Association for over 30 years. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. In his retirement he traveled with his wife, was an avid golfer and loved spending time with family.
