Edward Raymond Swanson Swanee , age 81, of Schererville, IN formerly of Riverdale, IL passed away Friday, November 5, 2010. Beloved father of Richard (Theresa) Swanson, Susan (Michael) Puhl, Kristine (Frank) Kryzak, Karen (Tony) Reyes. Preceded in death by his daughter the late Janet Ziegler and his son the late Robert Swanson; cherished grandfather of 24 and great- grandfather of 4; dear brother of Stanley (Laverne) Swanson and the late Berthel Swanson; loving fianc of Lucy Johnston. Visitation Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 3:00 P.M. until the time of funeral service at 8:00 P.M. at the Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN 46311 with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Swanson was a retired Riverdale Police Officer. May his loving smile now light up the Heavens.
