Edwin T. Mulder, age 79, of Munster, IN, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, March 4, 2018. Beloved husband for 58 years of Helen Mulder, nee VandeKamp. Dear father of Doug (Barbara) Mulder, Mark (Tamara) Mulder, Phil (Kim) Mulder, and Heidi (Rob) Van Kuiken. Proud grandfather of Brent, Madison, Nicole, Caleb, Bethany, Cameron, Kari, Rich, Amy, Andy, Alli, Dana, Mitch, Braden, Karlen, Dawn, Brad, Robbie, Brooke, Rachel, and Robert; great-grandfather of nine. Loving brother of Fred (Marcia) Mulder, Ila (Adrian) Scholten, Ruth (late Gerrit) Griffioen, Don (Marie) Mulder, Lois (Ervin) Bakker, Audrey (Don) Mars, and Linda (Melvin) Mellema. Preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Anna Mulder.
Visitation Friday, March 9, 2018 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Service of Celebration Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Church, 3642 Lake St., Lansing, IL, with services conducted by Rev. Daniel Roels.A private interment will be held prior to the service at Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL.
Ed was deeply committed to Christian Education. Upon his retirement he spent 10 years volunteering for World Renew Disaster Relief.
