Effie W. Dykstra

Effie W. Dykstra, nee Visser, age 98, of Elmhurst, IL went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 29, 2023.  Beloved wife of the late Case Dykstra.  Loving mother of Jan (Al) Diepstra, William (Melissa) Dykstra, and the late Jim Dykstra.  Cherished grandmother of Matthew Dykstra, Jamie Villareal,  Jason Diepstra, Ryan (Laura) Diepstra, Nathan (Amy) Diepstra, Nathan (Valerie) Dykstra, Cara Presley, Aaron (Katie) Dykstra, and Jordan (Bethany) Dykstra and great-grandmother of Andrew, Maxwell, and the late infant Caleb Diepstra; Wes, Graham, and Zac Diepstra; Elijah, Makayla and Lucas Chacon; Nora, Teagan, and Theo Dykstra.  Dear sister of the late John (late Connie) Visser, late Sam (late Carol) Visser, late Wilma (late Neil) Kuiper, late Gerrit (Elizabeth) Visser, Henry (late Clarine) Visser, and Norma (late Robert) Herder.  Also preceded in death by her parents Abram and Nellie Visser.  Effie was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN. with Dr. David Armstrong officiating.
