Eleanor A Ziems

Eleanor A. Ziems nee Goers of Chicago Heights, IL., passed away at her home on March 17, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Born July 13, 1924 in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, Canada. Eleanor was married on May 11, 1946 to Robert F. Ziems, who preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1996. She is survived by her daughters, Judith (Curt) Pease and Sharon (late Frank) Barrett, her son Robert (Dawn) Ziems, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and her brother Eugene (Betty) Goers also survive. Preceded in death by a brother Russell (Agatha) Ziems. Eleanor was known to all for her warmth of spirit and her love of fellowship with family & friends. Mrs. Ziems was a life long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Chicago Heights. Memorial visitation Thursday March 22nd from 2:00 - 7:00 pm at Smits Funeral Homes - Steger Memorial Chapel, (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL) with a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm. Inurnment Friday 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Flossmoor, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church / School or the American Cancer Society would be appreicated.
