Eleanore P Schuermann

Eleanore Pearl Schuermann nee Szymanski, age 75, late of South Holland, IL. Passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Beloved wife of Glenn C. Schuermann. Loving mom of Eric (Larry Cady) Schuermann and Lt.Cmdr. Melissa Schuermann. Devoted sister of Henry (Genevieve) Simmons, Lori (Nicholas) Bertok and the late Helen (late Richard) LaRue; Sister-In-Law of Wayne (Sandy) Schuermann. Proud aunt of many nieces and nephews. Eleanore "Ellie" dedicated herself to teaching English, Speech and Adult Education in the South Suburbs. She stressed education, helping many students attain their GED for a chance at a better life. She was especially passionate about her family, and proud of the lives and careers of her children. Ellie was known for her incredibly comedic wit, bringing much laughter into other's lives. Ellie was a wordsmith extraordinaire and avid Scrabble player; interested also in stamp collecting, bird watching, politics, boxing, theater, comedy and all things cinematic and dramatic. Eleanore will be missed by all she touched and forgotten by none.
