Elene L. De Bok, nee Provis, age 90 of Thornton, IL passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020.  Beloved wife of the late Robert J. De Bok.  Loving mother of Cynthia (Michael) Doorn-Nylen, James (Joan) De Bok, and Randall (Rhonda) De Bok. Proud grandmother of Megan, Jessica, and Nicole. Dear sister of the late William (late Dorothy) Provis and sister-in-law of Marge (Hank) Krygsheld and the late Lloyd (late Willie) De Bok.  Kind aunt of several nieces and nephews.  Visitation Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Funeral service Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Reformed Church of South Holland, 16248 South Park Ave. South Holland, IL, with services conducted by Rev. Daniel Svendsen. Burial will be held prior to the funeral service at 9:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to Bethel College in St. Paul, MN or First Christian Reformed Church of South Holland Building Fund.
