Elizabeth L. "Betty" Kregel

Elizabeth L. “Betty” Kregel, nee Marrell, age 88, of Chicago Heights, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, October 12, 2018. Beloved wife of Ronald E. Kregel for 70 years. Loving mother of Gary (Suzann) Kregel, and William Kregel. Cherished grandma of Jennifer (James) Doffin, Jill Phelps and Heather (Peter) Goldthorpe; great-grandma of Austen, Hailey, Sarah, Ali, Emily, Anna, Andrew, Abby, and Christopher. Dear sister of Patricia (Richard) Kille, Dennis Marrell, Richard Marrell, late Lila (late Homer) Bruns, Gene (late Marilyn) Bunte, Karen (late John) Storbeck, and late Lawrence (Sharon) Marrell. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents William and Edna Bunte and Lawrence Marrell.

Betty was a longtime member and volunteer at St. Paul’s Church. Betty and Ronald shared many fun times and enjoyed fishing together in Hayward, WI.

Visitation Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL.
Visitation Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 330 W. Highland Dr, Chicago Heights, IL. Interment Skyline Memorial Park – Monee, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
