Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Jill) Rusek and Sasha (Bryant) Carpenter. Great-grandfather of Taylor and Jordyn Carpenter. Dear brother of Mary Wood, Linda Lush and the late Nancy Rowe. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Road Steger, IL 60475. Funeral service Friday, February 21, 2014 11:30 a.m. at Steger Memorial Chapel. Interment private.
