Elsie L. Schilling

Elsie L. Schilling, nee Shuttle, age 94, of Dolton, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2023.  Beloved wife of the late Charlton Schilling. Loving mother of Steven Schilling, the late Susan (Robert) Gonya, Scott (Ann) Schilling, and Stanley (Cynthia) Schilling.  Proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late James, late Mary Ellen, Clara, late Doris, and Margaret.  Kind aunt of many nephews and nieces.  Preceded in death by her parents John and Grace Shuttle.  Mrs. Schilling was loved by many and will be missed.

Visitation Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL.  Funeral service Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 16500 Woodlawn Ave., South Holland, IL with Rev. Michael Udoekong officiating.  Interment Oakland Memory Lanes, Dolton, IL.  Memorial contributions may be given to Breast Cancer Research or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
