Elvira "Vera" M. Kramer, age 104, of Cedar Lake, Indiana, formerly of Crete, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2016 at Colonial Nursing Home in Crown Point, Indiana. Born May 19, 1911 in Dolton, Illinois to Omer A. Gillaspy and Elsa M. Gillaspy nee Rockrohr. Beloved wife of the late Claude E Kramer. Loving mother of Merwin (Betty) Kramer, Florence (late David) Warner, Doris (Leonard) Roesner and the late Warren Kramer. Cherished grandmother of Cindy Ashbaugh, Julie (Frank) Frieders, Robert (Amy) Kramer, Karen (Jeremy) Rice, Adam (Sarah) Roesner and Laura (Ryan) Bogenschneider. Great grandmother of David Janssen, Ace Frieders, Olivia Kramer, Madalynn Roesner, Ethan Roesner, Evan, Cora, Ryah and Vera Bogenschneider.Dear sister of Dorothy Piesch, sister-in-law of Joanne Pedric and Ellen Boatner (Claude's sister). Elvira was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Omer "Bud" Gillaspy, Melvin "Pudge" Gillaspy, David Pedric and sister Eileen Stewart.
