Emil J. Roth Jr., age 98, of South Holland, IL, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Roth nee Bierma. Loving father of Kathy (Harry) Gilmore and James Roth. Proud grandfather of Brian (Libby A''Hearn) Gilmore, Nicholas Roth, Katie Gilmore, Teagan Roth, Karleigh Roth and Connor Roth. Great-grandfather of Alijah and Isabella Awis. Dearest brother of Marge Michuda and the late Albert Roth. Kind uncle of several nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. South Holland, IL leaving for 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Church (700 E. 170th St. South Holland, IL.) Interment Oak Hill Cemetery - Chicago, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Ghost Church or charity of choice. Mr. Roth was a retired employee of International Harvester.
