Ernesto Castillo, age 83, of Durango, Mexico, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Beloved husband of Filomena Castillo, nee Valdez. Loving father of Leticia (Alfredo) Ramos, Silvia (Alfonso) Unzueta, Erica (Cupido) Sandoval, and Susan Sandoval. Dear grandfather of Alfredo, Omar, Ivan, Essay, Sarahi, and Joselyn. Preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Marcelina Castillo.
Visitation Friday, August 7, 2020 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane Dyer, IN. Prayer service Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home leaving for a 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1445 Hoffman St. Hammond, IN.
