Esteban Alejandro Velázquez, age 42, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2023. Beloved fiancé of Kiauna DeLoach. Loving father of Milani Alejandra Velázquez, Miley Velázquez, Maddix Velázquez, Journey Velázquez, Mason Alejandro Velázquez, Kailey Xoie Velázquez, and Marlon Robinson. Devoted son of Pascual and Teresa R. Velázquez. Treasured brother of Leticia Mónica Velázquez-AlHourani, Xochitl Ariella Velázquez, Marco Antonio Velázquez, Luis Karlos Velázquez, Lorena Smith, Diana Ramos, and Nancy Zorbaugh. Cherished nephew of Santos (Suleyma) Rivera, Andres (Pam) Rivera, Antonio (Alicia) Rivera, and Ricardo (MaryAnn) Rivera. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Among Esteban's passions, for the most part, was his love of sports and his collection of cars, some vintage, that he won multiple awards for at car shows; but Esteban's true passion was his children, his family and friends. Esteban held a special place in everyone’s heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Smits-Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL 60475. A Prayer Service will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Smits-Steger Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Liborius Catholic Church located in Steger, IL. Entombment to directly follow mass at Assumption Cemetery located in Glenwood, IL.
