Estelle Ooms

Estelle Ooms, nee Schoon, age 92, of Highland, IN went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 28, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Herb Ooms. Loving mother of Bob (Faye) Ooms, Tom (Debbie) Ooms, Bev (Cal) Knol, and Joyce (Dan) Kraly. Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Dear sister of Dr. Lew (Jan) Schoon, John (Darlene) Schoon, and one sister-in-law Virginia Schoon. Also preceded in death by grandson: Robbie, great-grand-son: Dakota, sister: Sadie, and brother: Henry. Mrs. Ooms was a member of New Life Christian Reformed Church in Highland and was retired from Van Til’s grocery store in Hammond. Visitation Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Reformed Church(3010 Ridge Road Highland, IN). Funeral service Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at New Life C.R.C. with Rev. William Sytsma officiating.
