Eugene Stephen Folta

Eugene S. Folta, 71, of Steger, IL passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 after a valiant fight with cancer. Beloved father of Gina (Larry) Bartoszek, Tammy (Brad) Walters and Nicole Daep. Loving grandfather of Zachary, Noah, Samuel, Sophia Bartoszek and Talia Daep. Cherished brother of Mildred Williamson. Dearest uncle to many, Eugene will be missed by all who knew him. Eugene was a proud US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. Visitation, Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Friday 10:00 A.M. at the Smits Funeral Homes- Steger Memorial Chapel. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham National Cemetery- Elwood, IL.
