Filomena Castillo, nee Valdez, age 75, of Hammond, IN, went home to be with her savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 30, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Ernesto Castillo. Loving mother of Leticia (Alfredo) Ramos, Silvia (Alfonso) Unzueta, Erica (Cupido) Sandoval, and Susan Sandoval. Dear grandmother of Alfredo, Omar, Ivan, Essay, Sarahi, and Joselyn. Preceded in death by her parents Jose and Juanita Valdez.
Visitation Friday, November 6, 2020 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane Dyer, IN. Prayer service Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home leaving for a 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1445 Hoffman St. Hammond, IN.
