Florence May Owens nee Miller age 88, of Crete, IL passed away January 29, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Jack Owens. Loving mother of Jack (Sharon) Owens II and Terry (Donald) Hall. Cherished grandmother of five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandsons. Florence was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. Visitation Friday February 1, 2013 from 3-8:00 pm. at Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL 60475. Funeral Saturday 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment Skyline Memorial Park - Monee, IL. Florence was very active at Temple Baptist Church of South Chicago Heights, she was an artist, enjoyed writing, poetry and she also enjoyed fishing.
