Frances Mary Chraponski, nee Kozub, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Stefan Karol Chraponski. Loving mother of Susan (Ed) Mackowicz, Carol (Brett) Burkholder, and Michael (Sandie) Chraponski. Cherished Baba of Rachel (Kyle) Emery, Jacob Burkholder, Lucas Chraponski, Noah (Torrey) Burkholder, Meredith (Alex) Torres, Karoline (Haley) Elpers, Joseph Mackowicz, and Lindsey Chraponski. Great-grandmother of Trevor, Tate, and Ellie. Dear sister-in-law of Marysia Kasprzycki and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Antoni and Marja Kozub and her brothers and sisters John, Tillie, Helen, Tony, Sophie, Frank, and Mary.
Visitation Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1 W Wilhelm St, Schererville, IN with Father Robert Ross officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery—Merrillville, IN.
