Franklin J. Padilla, age 77, of Crete, IL passed away peacefully on May 28, 2018, after a long health battle. Beloved companion of Jennifer Baughman; loving father of Alejandra (Mario), Maria Padilla and Timothy Padilla; adoring grandfather of Felix Hernandez, Caesar Hernandez, and Victoria Hernandez; cherished great-grandfather of several; beloved uncle of many. Franklin, also known as Frank, was a loving man with an amazing sense of humor. He enjoyed long bike rides with his son, Timothy, as well as watching educational television, while learning as many fun facts as he possibly could, but most of all, he loved spending time with his closest family.
Frank was employed with Ford Motor Company for 32 years as a Safety Specialist. He also served in the United States Army from the years of 1960-1963 during the Korean War.
Frank will always be remembered for his spunky personality and hilarious and sarcastic sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
