Gail C. Eylander, nee Gowens, age 76, of South Holland, IL passed away on Sunday, April 5,2015. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Eylander. Loving mother of Katherine (David) Bundy. Cherished grandmother of Emma and Evan Bundy. Dear sister of Faye Gowens, the late Meryl (late Rev. Carl) Van Farowe and the late Dean (late Lucille) Gowens. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Gerrit (late Barbara) Eylander and by many nieces and nephews. Visitation, Friday, April 10, 2015 from 3:00 -8:00 P.M. at the Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane Dyer, IN.(Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Lane). Funeral service Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Mel DeVries officiating. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery - Lansing, IL. Mrs. Eylander was a long time member of First Reformed Church in South Holland and was a retired employee of Rest Haven Central in Palos Heights, IL.
