Gary R. Ebbens, age 72, of Crete, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Beloved husband of Sue Ebbens, nee Rietveld. Loving father of David Ebbens, Maribeth (Brad) Ottman, Dawn Ebbens, Todd (Katie) Mrskos, Paul (Pam) Mrskos, and Jason (Leslie) Ebbens. Cherished grandfather of David “DJ” Ebbens, Olivia (Tadziu) Bebout, Brandon Ottman, Alissa Dopkowski, Austin Dopkowski, Aaron Dopkowski, Adam Dopkowski, Aiden Dopkowski, Joseph Moore, Lauren Mrskos, Kathy Mrskos, Paul Mrskos Jr., Ethan Mrskos, Zoe Ebbens, and Gavin Ebbens. Great grandfather of Cohen Dopkowski. Dear brother of the late Celeste (Andy) DeBoer and Scott (Denise) Ebbens. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Annamae Ebbens.
