Gayle B. Simnick, nee Grosskurth, age 88, of Dyer, IN, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Albert Simnick. Loving mother of Brian Simnick, the late Keith Simnick, Christopher (Rick Rhinehart) Simnick, the late David Simnick, Mary Ann Simnick, Martha (Jack) Dal Santo, Peter Simnick, and Cathy Simnick. Devoted grandmother of Keith Brown, Albert Dal Santo, Christina Dal Santo, and Jack Dal Santo III. Proud great-grandmother of Ayden Brown. Dear sister of the late Gerald (late Gail) Grosskurth, late Richard (Virginia) Grosskurth, late Philip (Cynthia) Grosskurth, Phyllis Grosskurth, and Janet (late William) Noonan. Kind aunt to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Martha Grosskurth.

Visitation Friday, May 2, 2025 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN. Prayer service Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 Joliet St. Dyer, IN for a 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass. Interment at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery —Evergreen Park, IL.
