Gene Frank Walker, age 76, passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Beloved husband to Patricia Walker, nee Clarke. Loving father to Eugene (Lisa) Walker, Diane (Todd) Fouts, Kate (Mike) Kincaid, Jeff (Lisa) Walker, and Pete (Lauren) Walker. Adoring grandfather to Chloe, Kyle (fiancée Alexis), Ryan, Evan, Sean (fiancée Journey), Justin, Patrick (Rachel), Brenden, Jeffrey, James, Devon, Garrett, Derek, Anthony, Mariah, Aubree, James, Alyssa, and Kaylee. Great grandfather of Paisley and Kaden. Dear cousin of Pam (Joe) Forte and Debbie (late Bobby) Scandora. Preceded in death by brother Daniel L. Walker and parents Eugene and Edith Walker. Gene was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

A Public Visitation to be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Smits - Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd., Steger, IL 60475. A Private Family Funeral Service to be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 followed by Interment at Skyline Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Smits-Steger Memorial Chapel.
