Geneva Willey, nee Pogue, age 91, of South Holland, IL, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013. Survived by her daughter Patricia (Keith) Friedericks; Granddaughters Diane (Jonathan) Haas, and Debra (Christopher) Wagner; Great-grandchildren Lauren, Megan, Grace and Benjamin; Sister-In-Laws Louise Pogue and Jean Willey; Aunt to many nieces and nephews; Preceded in death by her husband George Bernard Willey, parents Walter and Lila Pogue, sister Velma (Howard) Burks, brothers John Pogue, Clifford (Madeline) Pogue, and JB (Ida) Pogue. Visitation Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL with Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Interment Cedar Park Cemetery - Calumet Park, IL. Geneva worked in the offices of U.S. Steel for many years. She volunteered at Ingalls Hospital for 45 years, and made hundreds and hundreds of baby caps for the newborn babies at the hospital. She also volunteered at the Riverdale Library for 30 years. She attended Village Church where she was friends with many wonderful, caring people.
