George E. Boss Sr., age 90, of Beecher, IL, passed away peacefully Monday, November 11, 2019. Beloved husband of Clarice Boss, nee Beukema. Devoted dad of Jana (Scott) Sedam, James (Ruth) Boss, Jerold (Carol) Boss, and George (Donna) Boss Jr.  Proud grandpa of Conor (Nikki) Sedam, Tyler Sedam, Kiernan (Brad) Taylor, Dylan (fiancée Karlye Byrnes) Sedam, Jim (Tricia) Boss, Laura (Johnny) DeYoung, Jana (Steve) Brandenburger, Jessica (Tyler) Jabaay, Jori (Kevin) Pittman, Katie (Dean) Von Almen, Jeremy (Nicole) Boss, Joshua Boss, Ryan Boss, Kylie Boss and Megan Boss; great-grandpa of 16. Dear brother of the late Marvin Boss. Also preceded in death by his parents George and Minnie Boss. George loved his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN with Rev. Andy Nearpass officiating. Interment Monday, November 18, 2019 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery – Elwood, IL. Mr. Boss was a United States Army Veteran.
