George F. Cizek, age 84, of Westmont, IL. formerly of Steger, passed away July 10, 2009. Beloved husband of the Late Mary Cizek. Loving father of Michael George (Susan), Donna Jean (Mark) Dettman, Steven John (Sue), Carol Marie (Oliver) Shirley, and Mary Terese (William) Ruminski. Cherished grandfather of 12. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at St. Liborius Catholic Church, Steger. Interment at Skyline Memorial Park, Monee. Mr. Cizek was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, Band Director at Central Jr. High School in Steger for 30 years, and member of the Chicago Heights Civic Symphony Orchestra.
