George Jarvis

George Jarvis, age 84, of Chicago Heights, Illinois, formerly of Burnham, Illinois passed away peacefully August 19, 2015. George is survived by a son, Larry (Betsy) Jarvis of Texas and daughter, Barbara (Tom) Standeford of Texas. Preceded in death by wife Helen Jarvis nee Gibson. George is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and special companion Charlotte Gbur. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Chicago Heights. Visitation Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL. Interment will take place at a later date at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, contributions to any veterans organization or Wounded Warrior Project are appreciated.
