Gerald L. “Jerry” Byerly Jr., age 63, late of Merrillville, IN, formerly of Dolton, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022.  Loving husband of Cynthia Byerly, nee Tomczak.  Devoted father of Jonathan (Autumn) Byerly and the late Gerald Lee Byerly.  Proud grandpa of Brooklyn and Brynn.  Dearest brother of Michael (Chris) Byerly, and Janice (Gary) Spiller.  Brother-in-law, and kind uncle of several nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Marylou Byerly.

Visitation Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Prayer service Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home James E. Janusz, Director, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL.
