Gerald Delton Eddy

Gerald “Jerry” Delton Eddy, age 76, of Dyer, Indiana, went home to his Lord and Savior on, Friday, January 19, 2024. Beloved husband of Joan Ellen Eddy nee Zwart. Loving father of Matthew (Brandy) Eddy, Robert (Valerie) Mazany, Crystal Vanderhoogt, and the late Scott (Stephanie Miller) Vanderhoogt. Cherished grandfather of 13, great grandfather of 5. Dear brother of Buford Eddy, Nina (Danny) Akers, Tony (Maryann) Eddy, and Sandy Eddy. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jerry was a member and Elder at Dyer Presbyterian Church, Scout Master for the Boy Scouts, Adjutant General of the Dyer VFW, member and former president of the Dyer Lions Club, member of the Calumet Insurance Adjusters Association, and former member of the Blue Goose Association. He was a proud United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was loved by many and will be missed.

Visitation Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN. Interment will take place Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Memory Lane Memorial Park – Crown Point, IN.
