Gerald J. Poole, 75 of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully May 3, 2014. Beloved husband of 52 years to Annette Poole nee Abramowski. Loving father of Linda (William) Dreger and Donald Poole. Cherished grandfather of Jason (Michelle) Headley, Zachary Dreger and Adam Poole. Dear brother of Marylynn (Leslie) Adleman. Visitation Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Smits Funeral Homes - Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd Steger, IL. Interment to take place later at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery- Elwood, IL. Gerald was previously employed at Inland Steel as an Electrician and at St. James Hospital in Security and Communications. Gerald was also a US Navy Veteran.
