Geraldine Van Deel

Geraldine “Babe” Van Deel , age 98, of Crown Point, IN, went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 8, 2024.  Dear sister of the late Arthur (late Jeanette) Van Deel, late Louise (late Cal) Oostman, late John (late Grace) Van Deel, and the late Henry (late Sally) Van Deel.  Loving aunt of Sandra (Lou) Regnerus, Jack (Christine) Van Deel, Sharon (late Charles) Dykstra, Roger (Christa) Van Deel, late David (Sue Rietveld) Van Deel, Donna (Connie) Kats, John (late Debbie) Van Deel, Gary (Janice) Van Deel, Charlene (Jon) Ward, the late Ruth Van Deel, Jack Oostman, and Louise (Lee) Hoekstra. Great-aunt of many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her parents John and Louise (nee Vree) Van Deel.  Babe was a retired accountant and faithful volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Monday, July 15, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN, with Rev. Dan Bloesch officiating.  Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL.
