Gerard "Jerry" KE9I Jendraszkiewicz, age 54, of Medaryville, IN, went home to the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Beloved husband of Nancy Jendraszkiewicz, nee Knight. Loving son of Audrey and the late Leo Jendraszkiewicz. Dearest brother of Karen (David) Fritts and the late Leo Jendraszkiewicz III. Dear brother-in-law of Norbert (Bonnie) Knight, Kathleen Barlog, Mary Cantrell, Margaret "Peggy" Goolsby and Patricia DeGroot. Kind nephew of two aunts, three uncles and dear uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and fond cousin to many. He was particularly close to nephews Andrew Barlog and Sean Cantrell. Joseph Vamos officiating. Private Cremation. Memorial contributions to St. Anthony Hospice (203 Franciscan Dr., Crown Point, IN 46307) appreciated. Jerry graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked 30 yrs. as an electrical engineer for the University of Chicago. He was an amateur ham radio operator for 40 yrs. and traveled extensively during his lifetime. He will be fondly missed by his loving family and faithful friends.
