Gertrude Hartkoorn, age 96, of South Holland, IL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 20, 2017. Loving sister of Arlene (Willard) Vander Zee, the late Jacoba Hartkoorn, the late Henry (late Marge) Hartkoorn and the late Garrit (late Mary) Hartkoorn. Dear aunt of nine nephews and nieces and many great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces. Visitation for Gertrude will be held on Friday November 24, 2017, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St., (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL 60473. Funeral service Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church (16556 Cottage Grove Ave, South Holland, IL 60473) with services conducted by Rev. Neal Ooms. Interment will be prior to the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Reformed Church of South Holland Mission Fund, 16248 South Park Ave., South Holland, IL.
